Personal protection equipment supplier Bacou-Dalloz has designed new safety glasses using in-mould assembly technology to offer a secure and comfortable fit.
Pulsafe FitLogic spectacles have adjustable components, which can adapt to fit the user's face, cheekbones, ear and nose profile. Multi-material technology ensures that all points of contact are cushioned with soft materials, making them suitable for all-day wear, claims the company.
The spectacles have a 'floating' lens designed to minimise fogging, while their extended wraparound format gives panoramic vision. This also provides extra protection to the cheek and side of the face.
Separately, Bacou-Dalloz's Pulsafe XC spectacles have been selected by Cadbury Trebor Bassett for use by staff at its factory in Chirk, Wrexham, after they came out on top in an on-site trial of 12 different safety glasses.
The Pulsafe XC glasses have prescription lens capability and lenses can be easily replaced without changing the entire frames, says the company.
Bacou-Dalloz has also designed ear protection, which complies with the new Control of Noise at Work legislation. Its Bilsom Leightning High Visibility ear defenders provide instant protection against harmful noise, while still letting speech frequencies through.
Its Howard Leight Matrix disposable earplugs are easy to locate should they become misplaced. Made from dual density foam, they combine hearing protection with high visibility.
