German plate heat exchanger specialist GEA Ecoflex will be introducing new models at this month's Anuga Foodtec exhibition in Cologne, which have specific applications within dairy processing. The NT 100 X and the two new designs NT 50 X and NT 50 M supplement the company's existing NT product line.

Owing to their smaller size, the new NT 100 X, NT 50 X and NT 50 M models are particularly suited for applications in the dairy sector, claims the company.

The special profiling ensures good flow over the entire plate width. Pressure-resistant plates guarantee gentle product treatment and economic operation with a very high heat recovery rate. In addition, the heat exchangers have a high self-cleaning effect, easy maintenance and low investment costs. The NT 100 X is also available as a three-stage pasteuriser.

GEA Ecoflex has also increased the efficiency of its plate heat exchangers by installing self-cleaning filters. These capture unwanted particles present in wastewater before they reach the units, resulting is less soiling of the heat exchanger plates, which greatly increases efficiency.
