Alfa Laval has introduced a new range of blast freezers called AlfaBlast, aimed at ready meal, poultry, meat, fish and dairy processors that use blast freezing as an integral part of their handling and preparation process.

Developed using AirMax technology, AlfaBlast is designed for the speed and quality required for hygienic food preparation in cold rooms and tunnels.

The range offers high air flows, extremely sensitive temperature control and optimum humidity to deliver uniform and rapid cooling and freezing with minimum effect on food appearance or aroma.

The systems are compatible with most modern refrigerants, including R404A, R507A, carbon dioxide and ammonia. Robustly built, they have galvanised steel outer casings with an aluminium drip tray and defrost system, lateral cover panels and adjustable legs.

The range encompasses more than 60 standard models offering capacities from 12- 117kW.
