This month, an elite group of 30 senior managers handpicked from Europe’s top food manufacturers and retailers will start a course designed exclusively for the leaders of tomorrow’s fast moving consumer goods industry.

Programme head professor Daniel Corsten won’t reveal who is on the second Efficient Consumer Response Europe progressive management programme, but says we shall in any case be hearing from them soon, when they become the next generation of bosses at Unilever, Danone, Nestlé, Tesco, Carrefour and Procter & Gamble.

Modules, which are taught by academics and industry leaders including Tesco boss Sir Terry Leahy, Kraft director Peter Jordan and Procter & Gamble’s European chief Paul Polman, will cover issues such as leadership and managing change, supply chain, global commerce standards, collaborative planning, on-shelf availability and pricing and promotional strategies
