Super-premium ice cream maker Hill Station has seen its production rate increase by 50%, thanks to a new technologically advanced freezer provided by ice cream industry supplier Alfred & Co.

This increase in productivity has been achieved by a WCB Ice Cream MF600 freezer supplied to meet Hill Station's needs for a freezer that would ensure both high quality product and efficiency.

Based in Calne, Wiltshire, Hill Station currently makes 11 flavours of super-premium quality ice cream, which is sold across the UK. As demand for its product has increased it needed to support the fast growth.

Steven Cheetham, Hill Station's Production Manager, says: "We needed a piece of equipment that had the functionality to produce super-premium ice cream with low air content. We trialled the freezer against two others, but these did not provide the same texture quality. This new freezer produces a significantly better product and ensures a consistent fill."

Alfred & Co is part of the Moody Group of companies, the UK supplier of products and services to the dairy and food processing industries. It is the UK agent for Technogel, WCB Ice Cream, Soren, and Grafton ice cream equipment suppliers.
