Cartons travel scuff-free by air
Sewtec Automation has introduced an airstream (aeromechanical) conveyor range ideal for high-speed carton applications.
Already installed by a leading UK confectionery maker, the systems are claimed to be both cost efficient and very reliable.
They can be supplied in any length and layout, including horizontal, inclined or vertical configurations and in lines that turn through angles of up to and including 90°
Using electric fans and efficient air ducting systems, these conveyors provide high-speed yet gentle throughput, which eliminates product scuffing or damage. With a minimal number of moving parts, the conveyors are also virtually maintenance-free.
The company can offer stand-alone conveyors or design bespoke systems for turnkey projects.
