Increased output and user flexibility are key benefits of two fully automatic 'bag-in-box' filling machines installed in the Leeds factory of Britvic Soft Drinks.

The high speeds achieved with the two Rapak Autokap 1210Es are thanks to their quick change bag into box loaders, which reduce changeover time. The rotating back-to-back load chutes with 'quick connect' technology reduce changeover from 10l to 20l packs to less than three minutes.

Each of the machines is capable of filling 10l and 20l bags of post mix syrup at rates of 13 and 9 bags per minute respectively.

Filler operation is controlled by Siemens touchscreens, which give engineers the ability to alter machine parameters during production.
