Routing and scheduling updated
Paragon Software Systems will be demonstrating the latest version of its routing and scheduling software at the Software Supply Chain exhibition, which takes place at the Pavilion, NEC Birmingham March 16-17.
The latest release includes 34 new features, including functionality to help plan road transport directive compliant routes on a daily basis and a facility to export reports and schedules which can then be viewed by others via their web browser.
Other new features include explicit allocation of drivers' shifts to a weekly multi-shifted vehicle schedule to help planners optimise resource requirements under the new legislation. There are also new and improved table functions that allow users of the software to get more information out of their transport data.
"The latest version of Paragon's routing and scheduling software includes a range of new functionalities, which have been developed in response to both customer demands and the changing needs of the logistics marketplace," says Paragon md William Salter. "One of the key concerns for transport managers today is the added complexity that the forthcoming working time directive will introduce to the process of daily route planning."
