New script for Indian producer
Noon Products, the UK manufacturer of pre-cooked, chilled and frozen packaged Indian food, has added four Linx 6800 continuous ink-jet (CIJ) printers to its existing range of machines.
Depending on the product to be coded, the printers are used to apply product names to plastic film and print dates on to the external cardboard sleeve. Codes usually consist of a single line of print with a total message height of 5 mm. The machines operate 16 hours a day, six days a week, printing 60 packs a minute.
As well as allowing up to four lines of text to be printed, the Linx 6800 comes with the standard print option which provides up to 16 message types. It supports a wide range of character heights (1.8mm to 12mm) and message types (up to 34 drops high) including text, barcodes and graphics.
Other new features include a Windows-style graphical user interface that provides an icon-based operating environment.
