Krispy Kreme, the US company famous for its glazed doughnuts, has introduced a new range of frozen beverages to complement its extensive range of snacks.
The company, which also sells a range of coffees, has created four frozen drinks as part of its attempts to align its coffee and beverage offerings with its brand image, according to president of Krispy Kreme, Scott Livengood.
The drinks come in Original Kreme -- the signature flavour of the company's original glazed doughnuts -- Raspberry, Latte and Double Chocolate and can have coffee added to them for consumers that need that extra caffeine rush. They are described by the company as icy and creamy and are set to compete with Starbucks' own range of frozen coffee drinks called Frappuccinos.
"Our team took great care in developing four new frozen flavoured beverages, designed to offer customers an even greater variety of choice and taste experiences," says Livengood.
