More effective fumigation

Power Plastics has introduced three new products that will make it easier for operatives to achieve effective fumigation results.

Temperature is critical for the successful control of pests in stored commodities, so a new temperature display unit with a built-in alarm setting can help warn staff when specific temperatures are reached.

The unit can be wall-mounted for use in permanent structures or worn with a carrying strap for use with stack fumigation.

The company has also introduced a new temperature probe made from stainless steel to make it especially effective in withstanding robust use. In addition, its thermo-couples are sealed against the effects of gas to help prevent corrosion that can occur when thermo-couples are left in contact with certain fumigants.

The company's third introduction is a new stainless steel gas analysis probe with a rubber handle. This means it can withstand repeatedly being thrust into stacked commodity, such as coffee or cocoa. The probe is suitable for use with a wide range of measurement equipment.
