In addition to a wide range of scrubbers and cleaning equipment, Nilfisk-Advance is also able to supply customised hygiene solutions to food manufacturers.
It has just designed and installed a fixed vacuum system for Müller UK's production facility in Market Drayton.
The vacuum system is used to extract strips of cardboard packaging waste and dust produced during processing and packaging of Müller's dairy products.
Built as part part of a £35m extension to the company's Shropshire site, the centralised vacuum system is equipped with three-phase motors and has a maximum airflow of 192 litres per second. "The system's certainly proved successful -- now operatives simply grab the nearest hose and switch on," said Müller UK's senior buyer, David Salisbury.
The system is manufactured from stainless steel, including all remote switches and trunking and involved the installation of 220m of stainless pipework.
It also incorporates a GB 1033 suction unit combined with HEPA exhaust filtration.
