Innovations in the savoury snacks market come under the spotlight this month with a new report from Leatherhead Food International (LFI).
Snacking culture continues to expand in western Europe with more demanding consumers looking for quick eating solutions, says LFI. Therefore innovation in savoury snacks is becoming increasingly diverse and adventurous.
The report, Savoury snack innovations 2004, breaks down the areas of innovation into four categories -- flavours, textures, shapes and health -- and assesses how recent innovations are influencing each.
