Wholesale meat supplier to the catering sector IMS of Smithfield has implemented stringent measures to ensure complete traceability of its products, particularly beef products.
IMS needs to produce over 1,000 labels a day and to ensure 100% accuracy for meat traceability it was essential that the company adopted a software and hardware solution that would be flexible as well as accurate.
A barcode printing system from Toshiba Tec distributor KTEC Technologies was chosen which comprised Toshiba TEC B-SX4T industrial printers and software tailored to IMS's needs.
