Inspection systems cut false rejects using image analysis
Thermo Fisher Scientific will be highlighting its wide range of high performance inspection systems aimed at the food, beverage and pharmaceutical markets.
The Powerx series feature high-resolution detectors and sophisticated image analysis software to achieve the highest sensitivity and lowest false reject rates possible.
The Powerx S and D models are designed for foreign body detection in jars, cans, bottles and boxes. The D models has a double-beam X-ray architecture designed to detect glass slivers or chips in glass containers with 100% probability. The S models have a single beam for packages without hidden inspection areas.
The Prox is an X-ray inspection system capable of detecting metal, glass, stone, bone, plastics, wire and other dense contaminants in virtually any packaged, bulk flow or piped product. The EZx offers the simplicity of a metal detector combined with the detection capability of an X-ray machine.
The Apex 500 metal detector has modern multi-coil technology to increase the effect of the magnetic field in the aperture by more than 1.5 times, enabling the detector to target and amplify signals from much smaller pieces of metal.
