Metal detection system for aluminium foil packs
S+S Inspection will be launching its new Alumaster, a compact metal detection system for products packed in aluminium foil bags and containers. Designed to be easily integrated into existing conveyor packing lines, the new machine complies fully with food industry hazard analysis critical control point requirements and is available for use in dry or wet environments.
For use mainly in end-of-line applications, the Alumaster will reliably detect magnetic and magnetisable metals, including stainless steel and nickel, within the product. The microprocessor control unit is self-monitoring and self-balancing. Product compensation parameters may be stored in the control unit's password-protected memory.
Four models are available to suit belt widths from 300mm to 800mm and product heights up to 230mm. The tunnel detector is open and easily accessible for cleaning and maintenance and all surfaces comply fully with the needs of food industries.
The Alumaster ferrous-in-foil metal detection system is said to be ideal for both end of line and in-process inspection.
