Facility promises double capacity, less carbon output
Catering sausage and meat products supplier James T Blakeman is installing new manufacturing facilities in an investment valued at £4M. The new facility aims to double the plant's capacity, while simultaneously reducing the company's carbon footprint with its innovative design, which promises to be "one of the most advanced in Europe".
"We've positioned ourselves strongly to make this investment that demonstrates our commitment to the future of the industry," says md Philip Blakeman. "It'll double our production capacity, ensuring we continue to supply our customers with products that meet their quality requirements."
In addition to the manufacturing unit, the new facility, which is due to open in the Autumn, includes a cold store, warehouse, offices and staff facilities.
