Good price for a better class of sausage
Peter's Food Service has launched a premium sausage line, which recently went on sale at 49 Tesco stores in Wales.
The product is the result of in-depth research and development by the team at Peter's, led by technical and retail sales director David Jackson. The brief was to create a sausage that would appeal to buyers who understood the benefits of high quality meat, but who were also price conscious.
The new range encompasses a selection of Pork or Pork & Leek sausages that are available in 454g packs of six sausages.
Jackson says: "The new sausages give consumers the best of both worlds - a quality sausage at a good price. Our customers are becoming increasingly aware of meat quality issues and are prepared to pay a little more for a higher quality product."
