UK babies fed soya-based formula could risk consuming aluminium levels higher than the tolerable weekly intake (TWI) of one milligram of aluminium per kilogram of body weight recommended by the European Food Safety Authority.

The Food Standards Agency has expressed "possible concerns" for those fed soya formula and is seeking further information about aluminium levels in such products.
