Analysts at Panmure Gordon have voiced concerns that stevia could emerge as a serious rival to Tate & Lyle's star ingredient Splenda sucralose in the high intensity sweeteners market as early as next year. The firm has also noted a weakening demand for high fructose corn syrup in the US.
