Multi-pack shrink wrapper
Kosme UK, supplier of bespoke, turnkey filling, labelling, packaging and conveying machines, has launched its high-speed, end-of-line Flypack shrink wrapper to meet demand for secondary packing.
The Kosme Flypack machine is ideal for grouping together products such as bottles, cans and glass jars in multi-packs, and runs at 45 packs a minute. It uses separate product-compacting, wrapper, and heat-shrink units to unite already-packed products together in a secondary pack. With tray erector and layer-pad inserter module, it can also handle trays. The machine can easily cope with different formats of product, including cylindrical, rectangular and square containers in glass, polymer or aluminium.
The Flypack is modular, so it can easily be incorporated into established production lines.
Flypack has been divided into an 'operator side' and 'service side'. The 'operator side' gives access to all the change-over equipment, touch screen, multilingual control panels for format change, and adjustment. On the opposite 'service side' of the machine, the motors and internal workings are housed away from operators for access only by service engineers.
