Cheese turns on the charm
In response to consumer demand for sophisticated speciality cheeses, Dairygold Food Ingredients UK has launched the Taste Discovering Cheese brand.
"The brand's philosophy is to offer a premium range of specialty cheeses assembled to assist our customers to reflect in their product offering the increasingly sophisticated tastes and nutritional requirements of modern consumers," says the company.
It claims that in recent years there has been a rapid increase in the volume of sales of speciality and continental cheeses. "This growth is being reflected in prepared foods. From sandwiches to ready meals, pizzas to sauces, all categories feature continental or provenance cheese as an added value ingredient," says Dairygold.
The company is confident that its ingredient will be a hit with retailer own-label products and says that Taste Discovering Cheese will provide chefs and new product development staff with the widest range of provenance, continental, organic and premium cheeses available to meet specific briefs and to inspire new ideas.
