Cutting calories is a piece of cake
Consumers who are watching what they eat can now treat themselves without feeling guilty with Weight Watchers' new Belgian Chocolate Slices, Apple Crumble Slices and Mini Victoria Sponges.
Manufactured under licence by Finsbury Food Group, all the cakes have a significantly reduced calorie and saturated fat content.
The healthy cake market is growing by 20% year-on-year in value terms, well ahead of an overall category value growth of 6.2 %, claims the company. Weight Watchers dominates the healthy cake market with a 38% share, and market penetration increasing by 10% year-on-year.
