The Subway sandwich chain has won the British Sandwich Award (BSA). Dubbed the Sammies, the awards were launched 13 years ago to acknowledge key players in an industry now worth £5.25bn a year. Other winners include Melton Foods, which won BSA Sandwich Manufacturer of the Year and Morrison, which won Sandwich Retail Multiple of the Year Award.
