Pocket thermometers flag up HACCP danger zones
Two pocket-size infrared thermometers designed for monitoring foodstuffs are now available from Fluke. They can give quick and accurate food temperature readings by either contact or non-contact methods.
The Fluke FoodPro Plus thermometer can check both internal and external temperatures.
In non-contact mode it will quickly scan hot or cold foods and give instant surface temperature readings between -35°C and 275°C.
Alternatively, a contact probe can be inserted to give internal temperature measurements between -40°C and 200°C.
The Fluke FoodPro is a non-contact only version for temperatures between -30°C and 200°C. It has a Go/No-Go temperature indicator.
Both thermometers are sealed to IP54 ingress protection rating and incorporate temperature safety limits from hazard analysis critical control points (HACCP).
They instantly reveal HACCP danger zones by applying temperature rules that trigger a red (unsafe) or a green (safe) light.
