Weighing machine supplier Sartorius has built a bridge between the requirements of customised weighing systems and easy-to-use, uncomplicated programming with the Sartorius PR 1750/60 graphic development tool.

This programming system provides the option either to create customer-specific software or simply to extend the standard software of existing Sartorius weighing applications. The PR 1750 can either be programmed using standard programming languages in accordance with IEC 61131, or it can create and simulate programming procedures in a new, easy to use graphic form.

In addition, the PR 1750/60 has special functions to meet the special requirements of weighing and batching technology used in the food industry.

Its fully graphic operation make it easy even for beginners to create programs quickly and easily. No special knowledge of programming syntax is required.

Program code for a complete project can then be created automatically from the graphics environment in IEC 61131 format. The use of graphics saves time and reduces commissioning risks. The greater transparency of the program makes errors easier to find and avoid.

Programmed operating sequences and control procedures can be tested directly on a PC using the built-in graphic simulation. At the same time, the weighing equipment can be fully simulated on the PC.
