Findus finds order in its cartoning
Frozen food producer Findus has recently installed a Kliklok SFR end load cartoning machine from Kliklok-Woodman at its ready meal line at Longbenton in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
The line accepts filled meat and potato pie ready meal trays in 500g and 900g sizes on to an integrated smartbelt infeed unit. This adjust the gaps between trays arriving from a random queue and adjusts their arrival times to ensure that products are transferred smoothly and accurately before they are inserted into cartons and the cartons glued closed. The machine can handle up to 120 cartons per minute.
Kliklok-Woodman's range of end load cartoning machines provides solutions from simple hand packing through to fully automatic 250 carton per minute lines, with optional full product handling systems.
The SFR is constructed in stainless steel and is designed for easy access and hygiene. With options for different infeed systems, plus a servo-driven version, this machine provides speed capabilities of up to 150 cartons per minute.
