On-shelf availability in the leading supermarkets topped 97% in the third quarter of 2006, according to new data from ECR UK and IGD.
This is the highest figure since the fourth quarter in 2005, and the second highest since the survey was launched in 2004.
There was a particular improvement in frozen food, which usually performs badly, said Diane Carter, co-chair of the ECR UK availability workgroup.
