The livestock sector generates more greenhouse gas emissions than transport, according to a new report from the UN Food & Agriculture Organisation.
Aside from carbon dioxide, it also produces large amounts of nitrous oxide (mostly from manure), methane and ammonia, which contributes to acid rain.
