The Institute of Food Science & Technology (IFST) will publish the fifth edition of Good manufacturing practice: a guide to its responsible management in early 2007.
A reference work for scientists and technologists, the book builds on the basic principle outlined in previous editions and reflects crucial new developments in the UK food industry. This includes the British Retail Consortium Global Standard for Food; the establishment of the Global Food Safety Initiative; and the introduction of BS EN ISO 22000:2005 Food Safety Management Systems.
Updated chapters include: manufacturing activities; cleaning; and training.
