The Bradman Lake Group has launched a combined infeed and form, fill and seal flowrapper that enables large volume confectionery manufacturers to pack bar products in continuous operations at speeds of up to 1,000 packs per minute.

Key to this performance is a row distribution system which accepts, aligns and feeds chocolate, cereal and bakery confectionery bars into a new high-speed Flowtronic flow wrapping machine.

The Automatic Distribution System (ADS) features a height-adjustable, single-belt feeding process which reduces product transfer by 50%. Product handling and line efficiency are improved and belt change-over times have also been cut by half compared to previous wrapping machines.

The ADS also has light curtain guarding. Instead of conventional metal or plastic guards, an invisible light barrier protects the operator, stopping the machine immediately if the beam is broken.

To maximise packing productivity, the ADS can be linked to the high-speed Flowtronic flow wrapper using Bradman Lake's Power Bend and Shuttle Phase Feeder. The Power Bend bar-turning unit increases effective use of floor space and integration flexibility while the Shuttle Phase Feeder eliminates pressure on the product queue, presenting a consistent feed and ensuring stable and continuous process flow.
