Exotics on show at IFE
An 'Ethnic and cultural foods' section is being launched at next year's international food and drink trade event, IFE 2007, which takes place at the Excel exhibition centre in London from March 18 to 21.
The section will embrace new concepts in Halal, Kosher, Indian, Chinese, Thai, Mexican and Carribean foods, among others. Spices will make up an important part of the product section as they form the basis of most ethnic cuisines.
Exhibitors within the section include: Golden Saffron, Harb Foods, MM Poonjiaji Spices, Parampara Food Products, Spice Me Up and Superior Food Products.
Spice Me Up's products (Stand SA 2015) allow users to create dishes using a range of spice mixes blended to specific tried and tested formulas.
MM Poonjiaji Spices (SB 2114) began making chutneys for the British Raj.
It has continuously evolved and created a whole range of chutneys, pickles, condiments, pastes and spices to suit international palates. Poonjiaji's products use hand-picked lemons, mangoes and other fruits, which have been ripened by the sun.
