Step up an aseptic gear for hygiene
Some drive systems can be difficult to clean to the levels of hygiene required by the food industry. Standard motors, for example, often come equipped with cooling fins and fans in which dirt and germs can accumulate. Poor accessibility makes cleaning such components difficult.
The aseptic gearmotors in the DAS series, supplied by Sew Eurodrive, do not have fans and have been designed with smooth coated surfaces that can be hosed down with water. They are also suitable for areas being hosed down with harsh detergents or disinfectants.
They comply with IP69K protection in accordance with DIN 40050-9. This means protection against water ingress during high pressure or steam jet cleaning at 80-100 bar and water temperatures up to 80°C.
Available in three motor sizes, the DAS-80, 90 and 100 can be mounted directly on helical, parallel shaft helical, helical-bevel, helical-worm or Spiroplan gear units.
