Two food-specific solutions
Two new weighing machines, developed specifically for food industry applications, have been launched by Mettler-Toledo.
A stainless steel checkweigher which incorporates metal detection capabilities features fully interlocking covers from the metal detector to the end of the outfeed conveyor, along with twin bins or roller track for rejected products. It can be supplied simply as a checkweigher with standard options such as Ethernet connection, remote access, and the inclusion of statistics to comply with average weight legislation.
The second product is the VLC low-profile range of floor scales, protected to IP 65 for use in the wet. Features include 100% end-loading -- for handling forklift traffic and concentrated-load applications; 'Quick-Pit' frames for square pit installation flush with the floor; stainless steel pit liners; ramps to provide ease of access; and stainless steel options.
