Canterbury Foods' Stoke-on-Trent factory has become the first in the UK to achieve the British Retail Consortium (BRC) standard for the manufacturing of halal meat-based products.
Accreditors from EFSIS worked with the UK Halal Corporation, an independent not-for-profit organisation, on the halal authentication procedure, which guarantees the integrity of halal meat products for Canterbury Food's catering and retail customers.
