Premier Foods seeks to replace Kappler as chairman
Premier Foods is searching for a successor to David Kappler, after he announced his intention to step down as chairman later in the year.
“I have decided that this is an appropriate time for me to stand down,” said Kappler in a statement released by Premier Foods. “Following the successful completion of the acquisitions and integration of the Campbell’s and RHM businesses and the recent financial restructuring, the group is now in a strong position and well placed for the future.” Kappler has been at the company for six years.
Robert Schofield, chief executive officer of Premier Foods, said: “On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Kappler for his significant contribution to the group. His guidance and counsel over the years have been instrumental in the delivery of our strategy since flotation.”
