The Awards, at the Institute of Directors in London, rewarded the achievements of businesses throughout the food chain for making a positive difference in their local and business communities.
The event was hosted by Tim Campbell, the first winner of the hit BBC show The Apprentice. Campbell also awarded CPA's first ever 'Apprentice of the Year' which went to Kraft employee Calum Marnock.
A total of 25 awards were presented. Gold winners included: Mars in the UK, Maloney's Retail Stores, Nestlé UK, Unilever UK & Ireland and William Jackson Food Group. Coca-Cola Enterprises won two awards: one for its Education Centres and another for its Festival Recycle Zones, which also won CPA's overall award the President's Award, as selected by FDF's president and md of General Mills UK Jim Moseley.
FDF director of communications, Terry Jones said: "FDF's Community Partnership Awards recognise the tremendous positive contribution UK food and drink firms make to society. Despite the many challenges businesses are facing, our sector has remained committed to making a positive difference, be it by reducing its environmental impact or by supporting local schools."
