The changing face of food and drink industry supply chains is revealed in the Food Manufacture Group’s exclusive Supply chain and logistics survey 2016.

This snapshot of the UK food and drink sector’s supply chain features the impact of Amazon’s entry into the UK grocery market, the implications of Brexit and how to make the most of omnichannel trading, alongside a host of other news, view and analysis.

Prepared in association with Hughenden Consulting, we surveyed a wide range of food and drink industry professionals to gauge their views on changing food and drink supply chain priorities – from the use of outsourced logistics and warehousing to the biggest supply chain challenges and changing customer needs. The survey is based on the hundreds of replies we received.

For example, more than 70% of respondents agreed that their companies were adapting supply chains for more multichannel/omnichannel sales. Highlighting this, nearly two-thirds of respondents confirmed that their company’s supply chain cost per case/pallet delivered had increased over the past year.
