The range includes fillers, cappers, blending equipment, inspection systems and complete bottling lines. Sacmi also makes advanced stretching and blowing machinery for the production of polypropylene and polyethylene terephthalate bottles and caps.
Sacmi Filling is a subsidiary of the Sacmi Group a £1bn a year Italian cooperative that designs, manufactures and markets machinery and systems for the industrial sectors. Although relatively unknown in the UK bottling market, Sacmi machines produce a large percentage of the bottle caps in the UK using high-speed, low-cost compression-moulding technology.
Habwood's technical solutions director, Peter Wallin says: "Sacmi has had a low profile in Britain but this is about to change."
