2 Sisters Food Group appoints Wayne Morley
Former head of food innovation at Leatherhead Food Research, Morley’s appointment continued 2 Sisters' investment in innovation resources, said the firm. Morely will be tasked with identifying and implementing new technologies to drive the firm's growth.
Technology advances are likely to focus on innovations in ingredients, processing and preservation techniques, said 2 Sisters.
‘Forming strategic partnerships’
Morley said: “I am really excited to be joining such a progressive company with innovation having such a high profile. I am looking to forming strategic partnerships with a number of technology owners, universities, and research institutes.”
Reporting to the firm’s innovation director April Preston, Morley will be based in London and starts work this month.
Morley also serves on the independent judging panel for the food and drink manufacturing industry Oscars – the Food Manufacturing Excellence Awards, which have attracted a record number of entries this year.
