Food industry people on the move – in pictures
Casper Meijer’s departure from Morrisons meant a whopping 70% of the retailer’s board had left since David Potts took the reins in March.
Potts was appointed ceo of Morrisons in March and has had an extremely busy first month, including job cuts, store closures, a revamped playlist and changes to the store’s queuing system.
Potts’s predecessor, Dalton Philips, received a £1M bonus this month, taking his total earnings in the last year to £2.1M.
This was despite Philips being widely lampooned by retail analysts and former bosses for his leadership strategy whilst at the helm of the retailer.
