Sinclair says staff will relocate from other parts of the business
Mondelēz will take on an extra 100 staff at its Banbury, Oxfordshire, coffee facility, following a major investment to boost its production capabilities and a joint venture with Douwe Egberts.

The announcement last year of two new Tassimo coffee pod production lines would boost the site’s staff.

More staff would relocate from other parts of the company, following a merger with Douwe Egberts maker DE Master Blenders last year, plant director Paul Sinclair told FoodManufacture.co.uk in this exclusive podcast.

 ‘Increasing by over 100’

“We’ll be recruiting over 40 new people for Tassimo and we also have people relocating to the site as we create our new joint venture in coffee with Douwe Egberts.

“Total headcount at the site will be increasing from around 600 to 700 people by the end of the year.”

Listen to this podcast to hear how Sinclair was developing the team in the site’s 50th anniversary year this year.

Look out for the April issue of Food Manufacture to discover whether Sinclair will be pumping more investment into the site.
