Former Lindt & Sprüngli and Innocent Drinks man Tim Stoller officially took over as the first ever convenience director at Hovis last week, according to media reports.

Stoller joined from Lindt & Sprüngli, where he had been grocery business unit controller for the past year. Prior to this, he was head of impulse at the chocolate manufacturer for more than three years.

He also spent more than six years at the BBC in a variety of marketing and research roles.

Track record

Chad Leembruggen, Hovis commercial director, told our sister title The Grocer: “Tim has a track record for developing astute impulse strategies that have delivered revenue, margin and profit growth.”

Meanwhile, Hovis won the coveted Training Programme award at the Food Manufacturing excellence Awards in November.

Judges praised the firm’s Inspire programme, designed to improve employee engagement and boost bakery skills across the business.
