Final preparations are underway for our James Bond-themed Food and Drink Manufacturing Excellence Awards (FMEAs), which will take place this Thursday with TV star Mark Durden-Smith at the Park Lane Hilton Hotel in London.

Watch the video below featuring our awards host Durden-Smith who delivers your personal ‘licence to thrill invitation’ to attend the gala ceremony on Thursdayn November 20. “Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to join me for an evening of five-star entertainment and perhaps the odd vodka martini – shaken, naturally, not stirred as we celebrate the UK’s finest food and drink manufacturers,” said Durden-Smith.

Best of the best

The FMEAs – the Oscars of the food and drink manufacturing industry – now in their 14th year celebrate the best of the best in food and drink manufacturing.

In addition to manufacturing category awards – such as for Ambient food manufacturing company of the  year – there are trophies for the best Environmental initiative, Training programme and  supply chain initiative. There will also be awards for the Best use of food ingredients, Judges’ star performer and, new this year, Young Talent award. See the full list of awards categories below.

Premier Foods

The evening will culminate in the big one – the Food manufacturing company of the year award. Who will take the crown from last year’s winner Premier Foods? There’s just four days to wait to find out.

To be among the first to find out who will lift the top trophy this year, accept Durden-Smith’s invitation to thrill by emailing Rebecca George at: rebecca.george@wrbm.com or call her on: 01293 610422.

Meanwhile, to help prepare for the big night, enjoy our list of Bond goodies and badies, which appears at the end of this article. We have included too a list of film outings for 007. Which was your favourite?
