Brooks will join Tesco as senior marketing manager for social media in the new year

Tesco has appointed Coca-Cola’s interactive manager Jude Brooks to head its social-media operations.

Brooks will join the retailer as senior marketing manager for social media in the New Year.

She will oversee a team of about 10 specialists who look after Tesco’s Twitter, Facebook and YouTube accounts.

Led activity

Brooks joined Coca-Cola in 2009, during this time she led activity across many of the company’s brands.

Including the ‘King of the Park’ social game for Fanta across mobile and web and a digital campaign for Relentless Energy including a new site build.

She was also responsible for the social media activation of Dr Pepper and Relentless Energy.

Brooks previously held senior marketing roles at Bauer Consumer Media.

Tesco have recently increased investment in social media, with the re-launch of its YouTube channel, working with digital agency Zone to simplify its presence on the video site.
