Maple Leaf Foods, best known for its New York Bagel Co brand in the UK, has appointed Franck Houssaye as its new product development (NPD) manager.
Frenchman Houssaye trained as a pâtissier who, following graduation, moved into industry heading up production for a biscuit factory in Normandy. He then crossed the Channel to take on NPD for British Bakeries and then Allied Bakeries. He later returned to France to launch his own sandwich business.
