The U2 features a screen, controller, ink cartridge and print head all contained within a small, hard-wearing box, which comes with a remote keypad.
The design is based on the plug-n-print concept, with the ability to print text, graphics and barcodes in resolution of 300dpi.
Its flexible design allows it to run various types of ink for numerous print substrates and identifies the type of ink used before automatically selecting the best printing parameters.
Also on show will be the Hitachi RX continuous ink jet coder, which promises speeds in excess of 700m a minute, exceptional print placement accuracy, flexibility, and low emissions.
The unit can handle fast dry and high adhesion inks and is suitable for printing characters on all kinds of surfaces.
