After the insolvency of the UK based Bradman-Lake Group companies and the subsequent sale of the businesses in October 2007, the management of the Bradman-Lake in Germany decided to spin off and to form an independent packaging technology organisation, 3S Packaging Technology.
"We are launching our organisation with a new name and a new corporate identity," says md Friedrich Kern, with responsibility for marketing and sales. '3S' stood for Single Source Solutions, he adds.
3S Packaging Technology is aiming to become a world-leading supplier of packaging technology from one single source. With its manufacturing operation based in Dietmannsried in south Germany and a global network of sales and service support, the company develops, produces and distributes stand-alone units and complete packaging lines for food, chocolate, confectionery and consumer goods.
The product portfolio ranges from vertical bagging, horizontal flow-wrapping, top-load and end-load cartoning, to robotic wrap-around and top-load case packing.
