When shrink wrapping equipment at the factory needed replacing, YPS supplied one of its fully automatic side-feed sleeve wrappers for handling a variety of trayed product.
The equipment incorporated a novel high-speed, low maintenance sealing jaw, which provides reliable and consistent seals on polythene film, as well as a shrink tunnel, which is complete with heavy duty steel mesh belt with side chains.
While the initial order was for one unit, within six months two further lines were also supplied.
John Brownlie, chief engineer at the Wilkin & Sons, said: "The equipment was up and running within hours, performing beyond our initial expectations in terms of reliability and quality. We had no hesitation in purchasing a second and third unit from YPS."
