The heavy duty SS120 stainless steel side-feed wrapper, supplied by Yorkshire Packaging Systems, is designed to cope with the dairy's demanding environment. It has low-voltage waterproof electrics and a novel high-speed, low maintenance sealing jaw to provide reliability and consistency of the seal at speed in a wet environment.
It provides flexibility in a small footprint and can wrap any tray-less pack configuration required by a dairy, whether in bottles or cartons, at a speed of up to 14 packs a minute. Changeover times are also said to be much lower than a previous wrapper the firm used.
